CoCo Cha Taiwan Tea & Coffee - Castle of Glass, a project by PT Arch Studio, is a unique design that aims to create a classic castle in the middle of a modern city. The concept is to blend two timeless architectures and create a strong contrast in design intent.

The construction site posed a challenge due to its small width and deep length. The main concern was to ensure harmonious light throughout the entire space and avoid creating the feeling of moving too far between different areas for customers. PT Arch Studio's solution was to divide the length into four different parts - the counter area, stairs area, coffee space, and storage area/restroom. These four areas are linked together by skylights and green spaces to create a strong layout that ensures user comfort.

The design concept focuses on light, ensuring that users enjoy the atrium space without feeling constrained by the narrow space. The interior layout includes many greenery and natural light to bring comfort to customers. Fixed areas are arranged to avoid moving furniture, making operations more convenient. The total budget is carefully calculated, and materials used are easy to clean, aesthetically pleasing, and reasonably priced.

As the project is located in a city with a very sunny climate and high winds throughout the year, the facade is designed to be closed and block the sun, while ensuring proper ventilation. Glass tiles were chosen to meet these criteria. The project's design also focuses on combining classic and modern materials without feeling strained. The dynamic tone from terrazzo tiles, aluminum panels, and classic molding details creates a strong contrast that stays true to the original concept.
